Some examples for Free SAT Practice Questions:

Here, we are going to see some example questions asked in SAT exams.

Example 1 for free sat practice questions:

Solve equation: '(2x)/3' + 5 = 5x

A) 1

B) 2

C) 1.15

D) -1.15

Solution:

Given: '(2x)/3' + 5 = 5x

Step 1:

'(2x)/3 ' + 5 = 5x

Take LCM for 2x/3 and 5

'(2x)/3' + '(5xx3)/3' = 5x

'(2x)/3' + '15/3' = 5x

'(2x+15)/3' = 5x

Step 2:

'(2x+15)/3' x 3 = 5x (3) (Multiply by 3)

2x + 15 = 15x

Step 3:

2x - 15 x = 15

-13x = 15

x = '15/(-13)'

= -1.15

Answer:A

Example 2 for free sat practice questions:

A 20% of a number is 10. Find the 30% of a number.

A) 20

B) 5

C) 10

D) 15

Solution:

Given:

20% of a number = 10

20% x = 10

'20/100 ' x = 10

Solve:

'1/5' x = 10

x = 10 (5)

= 50

Step 2:

30% of a number = ?

30% of 50 = '30/100' x 50

= '3/10' x 50

= 15

Answer: D

Example 3 for free sat practice questions:

f(x) = ¦(x^2 +30)¦, find the value of f(-6) ?

A. 66

B. 25

C. -78

D. -66

Solution:

Given: f(x) = ¦(x^2 +30)¦

f(-6) = ¦((-6)^2 +30)¦

= ¦(36 +30)¦

= ¦66¦ ( | a | = a)

= 66

Answer: A

Example 4 for free sat practice questions:

Solve: (5^5 - 5^8)/5^3

A. 1

B. -1

C. 3100

D. 125

Solution:

Given: (55 - 58 )/53

We know,

a^x . a^y = a^x+y and a^x/a^y = a^x-y

'(5^5 - 5^8 )/5^3' = '(5^5)/(5^3)' - '5^8/5^3'

= 5^5-3 - 5^8-3

= 5^2 - 5^5

= (5 . 5) - (5 . 5 . 5 . 5 . 5)

= 25 - 3125

= 3100

Answer: C

Example 5 for free sat practice questions:

10. If x? - y? = 55, and x - y= 11, then y =

A. 8

B. 5

C. 3

D. -3

Solution:

Given: x? - y? = 55

x - y= 11

x? - y? = 55

(x + y) (x - y) = 55

(x + y) 11 = 55

(x + y) = '55/11'

x + y = 5

Step 2:

x + y = 5 --------(1)

x - y = 11 --------(2)

Add (1) + (2):

x + y = 5

x - y = 11

________

2x + 0 = 16

__________

'2/2' x = '16/2'

x = 8

Substitute x = 8 in (1):

x + y = 5

8 + y = 5

y = 5 - 8

y = -3

Questions and answers (John Harmar)

Educational assessment is the process of documenting, usually in measurable, knowledge, skills, attitudes and beliefs. Evaluation can on the individual learner, the learning community (class, workshop, or other organized group of learners), focus facility or the education system as a whole.
Math assessment test will test its strengths and weaknesses in math skills.Some mathematical questions and answers are given in this article.

Math exam questions and answers:

(1) Evaluate: 62-(-3 + 11)

Solution:

62-(-3 + 11) = 36-8

= 28

(2) Which is larger? The sum of 12 and 11.5 (or) the difference between 22.2 and 14.4

Solution:

Sum of 12 and 11, 5 = 12 + 11.5

= 23.5

Difference between 22.2 and 14.4

= 22, 2 14.4

= 7.8

Therefore, the sum of 12 and 11.5 is greater.

(3) Release: 10 (X + 10) = 200

Solution:

10 (X + 10) = 200

10 X + (10 x 10) = 200

10 X + 100 = 200

10 X = 200

X = 20

4) Find the mean of a given data set: {4, 6, 9, 18, 15}

Solution:

My = (4 + 6 + 9 + 18 + 15) / 5

= 10.4

5) Right triangle has the legs of length 4 cm and 12 cm. What is the length of the hypotenuse?

Solution:

Given: a = 4 cm and b = 12 cm

By Pythagoras set,.

C2 = a2 + b2

C2 = 42 + 122

C2 = 16 + 144

C2 = 160

Take the square root, we get

c = m 12.65

Length of the hypotenuse = 12.65 cm

(6) Newsletter search the volume of the cone right in the face of the RADIUS is 7 cm and the height is 10 cm.

Solution:

Volume of cone = 1/3 'pi' r2 h

= 1/3 'PI' (72) 10

= 1/3 (3.14) (49) 10

= 512.87 cm3
